Dr. Guo said: 41 years? Yes, researching the ancient records was started in 1979. By 1995, the first edition by hand-writing was ready. But it was nothing but a book with re-arranged historical data. So I continued the research for the DaQiang materials and competition rules (mimic the ancient battlefields). My goal is simply to actually perform by myself in competitions all the techniques, theorems and fighting tactics in this book. In this process I actually establish new understanding of this ancient arts. Therefore I created few new theorems, training methods and establishing the solid relationship between tactics and techniques. At the end, this is MY BOOK. Just like the way I replied to my teacher, Master Liu, when he told me to start to write book in 1978, I replied:" I want to write MY BOOK with my own words, understanding and ideas!"
